Treze Tílias
Treze Tílias (German Dreizehnlinden) is a municipality located in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. The municipality covers about 185.205 km² and sits about 470 km from the state capital, Florianópolis. The municipality population estimate for 2006 is 5,441. The municipality was originally created on October 13, 1933.
It was founded by Austrian immigrants from Tyrol. In Treze Tílias, both the Portuguese language and the Southern Austro-Bavarian dialect of Austrian German are spoken. The town has characteristics of the Tirol. The economy of Treze Tílias is based on agriculture, tourism, and woodworking.
